Comic Book CPR is a long-running independent publishing and restoration project focused on the preservation, cleaning, pressing, and care of comic books and collectible paper media.
Originally created as an educational resource for collectors and hobbyists, Comic Book CPR has grown into a recognized name within the comic restoration community through instructional books, tutorials, product testing, and preservation techniques developed through years of hands-on experience.
The project specializes in non-destructive cleaning and pressing methods designed to improve the presentation and condition of collectible comics while helping collectors better understand restoration ethics, storage, handling, and long-term preservation practices.
Today, Comic Book CPR continues as both an educational platform and publishing brand dedicated to comic book preservation culture.

Comic book pressing is a conservation process used to reduce or eliminate non–color-breaking defects such as bends, ripples, waviness, light creases, and handling impressions. Pressing comics involves the controlled use of humidity, heat, and pressure to relax paper fibers and restore a flatter, more uniform appearance. When performed correctly, comic book pressing can significantly improve eye appeal and, in many cases, grading potential—without adding, removing, or altering original materials.
